Bella Italia: Firenze

Hi,

2 weeks ago I spent an awesome weekend in Italy. The first two days I spent in Florence, then one day at the beach in Marina di Torre del Lago Puccini and to end my short trip, I spent the last day in Pisa. Not only I was excited for Italy, but also to meet my friends from Seattle and Berlin.

I was especially very impressed by Florence – the artistic city with its many hidden corners was a true paradise for me.

After enjoying this awesome day in Florence, we had an awesome original Italian meal at a very cute restaurant at Piazza Santo Spirito.

Later in the evening there was a huge thunderstorm, and we had to wait at the Piazza della Signoria.

The second day, we had dinner on the rooftop of my friend’s apartment with a great view on Il Duomo di Firenze.

Have you spent some time in Florence? What was your favorite part about it? What do you enjoy most about the city?

Inspiring Istanbul

Heyhey,

As promised, I am posting some more pictures of Istanbul. The city is just so inspiring. What I love most, is just to walk around and feel the atmosphere and the people.

Exciting Istanbul

As I have finished my Bachelor’s Degree last summer (yey 🙂 finally!), my girls and me have decided to go on a city trip from 19-22 September, 2013. And we chose…… Istanbul! Because of its reputation of an exciting city, because of its influence of Europe and Asia and of course because of its renown night life! I took 341 pictures – mostly because I discovered so many little beautiful details.

After our arrival, we took the train from the airport to the city. I always recommend to take the train instead of a cab, because it’s just so much more exciting! You’ll get to see the city and more important: its people.

We stayed at Second Home Hostel https://www.facebook.com/secondhomehostel – the guy who worked there, John, was just too much fun and made our stay unforgettable!

I have prepared a small gallery with my first impressions of Istanbul. I will post more details on my trip in the coming days 🙂

xoxo, Nadine
